Re: As a RAIDER fan, this is what I saw

There was zero doubt entering this game that the Raiders are the cream of the crop on this end of the state. You do not get to 3 straight state finals by accident. Burton did the same thing to my Indians that they are going to do to alot of folks, so I'm not shedding any tears. There are alot of 0-3 teams out there who wouldn't mind being 2-1. One game does not a season make. Time to get ready for a visit from the Blue Knights. I have said it before, and i'll say it again: I am pulling for the Raiders to win the state title. I wish them nothing but the best. Sometimes you just run into the buzzsaw. Our kids played clean and never quit. I am proud of them.

I see Burton's O-line as the only thing being suspect, they are undersized and this will give them trouble against a team like PV that does also have decent speed off the corners to contain Burton's speed and turn it back into their very disciplined interior D.
Stewart didn't look like a 3 year starter, he was putting balls all over the place on passes, had to have been having an off night.

i like the fact that most of the kelly fans stayed til the end...instead of getting up and just walking out at halftime

I was reffering to Stewart, he was only 6-15 for the game passing and most of the incompletions weren't even close to being catchable. Looked as if he was having trouble with his release, he had receivers open but just couldn't connect.

Doesn't sound good.. they'd better hope his accuracy is improved by the time they play Powell Valley, else PV's speedy defense will be getting interceptions left and right. We saw what happened to Richlands early in the game before their QB got settled in - an interception (thrown right into the arms of one of PV's guys) that really helped kill their first half momentum.
    Officially retired

If Stewart and the Oline does not shape up, they will get beat by PV. PV has all the tools, motivation, plus home field advantage. That alone could be enough to beat Burton.

jimbo left the starters in because of loud mouth coach bentley. he got our kids and coaches fired up running his mouth. he still teaches at norton elementary. the best thing b.i. could do is get rid of him too. he is an idiot. jimbo still took it easy in 2nd half he just wasnt going to let them score.
